On Sept. 18th my wife and myself (Wayne and Donna) attended the tonight show. We are from Van Buren Arkansas. Upon arriving to stand in line we met a very interesting person, Glowzell (third in line). We learned that she had attended the tonight show some Five Hundred and 20 some times. She helped us understand the workings of the tonight show, how awesome Jay Leno was and how individuals were selected to set on the front row ect. We truly enjoyed the conversation helping make the time (aprox. 3hrs +) go by swiftly. She told us she had met a young man the day before that had been traveling around the US and living as a homeless person. He had attended the tonight show the day before and she was expecting him back that day. He did show up and we got to meet him. His name was Ryan. He had a very interesting account of his travels. He had been staying around the corner at Bob Hope Blvd. park.
My wife and I want to thank these two truly unique individuals for their friendliness and hospitality.
Ironically as we were being seated in the tonight show randomly, there were two young men randomly seated beside my wife. She turned and ask the young man next to her where he was from and he said Arkansas. Turned out he was from Fort Smith AR just across the Arkansas river from Van Buren. He had graduated South Side High school last year and was in LA attending college. What are the odds of millions of people in LA that on that particular day, attending the tonight show someone being randomly seated beside someone else from the same state just aprox. a mile away. I have a picture of Glozell and “Her Bum” but don’t know how to attach it. Will try but if it doesn’t work e-mail me at wkh620@gmail.com and I will send you a picture.
I have read Gozells blog and if the latest entry is correct “that she can’t attend the Tonight Show again” because of her comments, I think that is a travesty. It goes against everything that Jay Leno says in his talk to the audience before the show, that nothing is fake and “what you see is what you get”. Therefore if a performer (who is INVITED to the show knowing in PLENTY of time)AND is not up to par, BUMBLES through the show. As a result Glowzell comments on it, STATING FACTS that everyone could see, it should be the performer who receives the criticism AND TOLD NOT TO COME BACK not Glowzell.
So – Glowzell you go girl, I’m in your corner and I’m sure there are hundreds more out there backing you.
