The Big Picture - As I grew up I realized that the number of images in stories I read have either decreased or have been completely eliminated, it kinda frustrated me but I had no choice but to accept the verdict. The Big Picture came to my rescue by offering me the ultimate story telling resource. The Big Pictures tells you a story using high quality pictures. If you like photos and you like a good story, you will find this site as a fascinating resource. I have spent hours browsing through the stories looking for a fave to recommend to my devoted readers, it was a difficult choice (as all of them are amazing) however Running with Bulls is simply outstanding. I DOSE - I-Dose claims that Binaural Beats affect our brainwaves and can simulate various states, such as altering moods, behavior and consciousness. Sounds crazy? Well I thought that, too, and therefore decided to give it a try. I connected my headphones, laid down on bed, closed my eyes and let the fun begin. I don’t know if it really worked or if it was just a psychological effect, but I felt something after the session . Choose your mood and give it a try, what do you have to lose. The Planet - This is a really unique time in human history because for almost all of our history it didn’t matter that the earth is a system; we didn’t have to look at it as a whole because we are very local people; we affected the environment around us where we lived. Acronym Finder - Acronym is an abbreviation composed of the initial letters or syllables of a compound term and which is pronounced as a single word. With more than 600,000 human-edited definitions, Acronym Finder claims it is the world’s largest and most comprehensive dictionary of acronyms, abbreviations, and initialisms. Use it as a research tool or just for fun, I found some cool ones, such as: LOV, TBA and SRP.

Way of The Sheep - Where are the sheep headed? Are they headed for the pink tank or maybe for being eaten and slaughtered by the rats. What in the hell is the cotton candy representing - optimism or maybe pessimism. That’s the beauty behind art; each individual can interpret it differently. Markus Neidel is a talented artist - I salute him.

Instant Origami - Don’t you love cynical people? Before trying Instant Origami I read the ‘about us’ in order to understand the essence of the site. The about us was very impressive and I was looking forward to “the contemporary interpretation of traditional Japanese paper folding technique”. The result was not what I expected but what is certain is that it made me laugh and think. Brilliantly Done!

Le Tour de France - France is currently hosting the 95th Tour de France - which began on July 5th, and continues through July 27th. The Tour is the world’s largest cycle race, with twenty teams of nine riders (invitation-only) entered in this year’s race. Ten riders have dropped out so far, including one suspension for a doping offense. A picture is worth a thousand words, 18 amazing pictures are worth much more.

Neave Television - Neave Television takes the context out of TV and gives you something completely unexpected. It’s like a set of TV-channels, each presenting pointless but hilarious clips from movies (B-movies), actually it’s like having David Lynch right in your own home. ShadowNess - Shadowness is a digital art community with some remarkable talent on display, it has become an alternative to art galleries which can’t feature all artists. It doesn’t mean that the art is of low quality, on the contradiction there is some good stuff on it. Tastes and styles in art are highly subjective and therefore a big variety means art for everyone. I discovered Dark Spider on Shadowness, I love his art. Who is your fave artist?

In the spirit of community, Glassdoor asks the users to share with each other and provide insights of their current or previous employer. Glassdoor helps people look inside a company, through the closed doors and office walls.

Zoomii - Wandering the shelves of bookstores is a lot of fun, you never know which book (actually book cover) will catch your attention. Zoomii is trying to create this experience online by placing the bookstore shelves directly on your screen. The great part is that by creating this platform you can enjoy the great online prices and still keep the wandering experience. Just the smell of the coffee is missing. Additional book related sites that have been featured on our weekly faves include: Lookybook, DailyLit and Shelfari.

Jukebo - Searching for a music video? You would probably pursue your interest by searching YouTube. YouTube is an excellent resource however with JukeBo you can perform the same search but the results will be based on multiple video hosts and in addition the visual appearance of the results is much better. The results are featured by a text list letting you choose from a wider visual variety. One of the best features is the World Charts featuring the top clips of about 20 countries, it is nice to see what is number 1 in other countries. While browsing the site I have discovered an excellent video by Fat Boy Slim, even if you don’t like Fat Boy Slim, you should … well you must - trust me.

I tried the Buzzword and I must admit it is spectacular, it is intuitive and simple to use. Office Word and Google Documents lack creativity, Buzzword took the plain word processor and transformed it to a fun creative tool. Buzzword looks like a normal word processor, but it operates inside a web browser. Because Buzzword is web-based, the document you are editing is not stored on your local machine, but rather on secure servers. This means that you can access your document from any web connection.

WonderHowTo - With all these ‘How To’ sites it seems that human kind doesn’t know how to do anything or maybe the other way around is correct. We know how to do and therefore we feel like spreading our wisdom with as much people as possible. This isn’t the first time we have weekly faved a How To site, previous sites include 5min, VideoJug, Fix It Club and Instructables. The main difference is the content provided by their users. WonderHowTo uniqueness comes from the fact that they provide content from more than 500 specialized sites which intent to instruct, this fact places WonderHowTo as the most comprehensive How To resource. Every Person - This guy is absolutely crazy, he claims that he is trying to draw every person in New York. Will he succeed? I doubt it. However, the idea is nice and the sketches are not bad. Unfortunately, war has always been here and will always will be here. Real Military Flix features a wide range (World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm and the Invasion of Iraq) of exclusive war videos, the collections is quite impressing. However, the site claims it is the world’s largest on-line military film and video, with such a statement I wish they would have extended their war variety to places such as: The Six-Day War, World War 3, Cocaine War. And for you game lovers they have included a special section that offers only War Games.

Blip - If you use Twitter, you can think of it like Twitter for music. However, in this case it means you have a true value for following people. If you don’t know what Twitter is, think of it like a never ending playlist that you and your friends build in real-time, and you know why they picked each song. I am truly excited, this is the essence of web 2.0 - combining music and social network together. This service has just launched and as much as I am excited, I encountered many flaws that should be resolved. The service isn’t intuitive enough, it takes a while before you get around. As well, too many links lead me to pages that have nothing to do with the core idea - sharing and following music. Yo Guys (Blip creators)!!! Please keep it simple - Less is More !! RecipeZaar - Many people who visit AllMyFaves contact us and ask - How come you don’t have a recipes faveline. Well guys it is on its way. In the mean time we occasionally recommend recipes/cooking sites such as: Open Source Food, Mestolando, CookThink, Familyoven, iFoods.tv and Rouxbe. The previous sites might be more web 2.0 and more slick than Recipezaar however the strength of Recipezaar comes from the wide range of recipes to search from and a strong community. The only thing I can’t understand is why they are charging for a Premium membership. My philosophy is that services on the net should be offered for free, I am sure they make enough money from the ads they have on the site.

PanOye - We all love photos, my personal photo faves are panoramic photos. Panoramic isn’t a regular photo, it is super special. Panoye is a place where people can upload, organize, tag and publishare their panoramas. In addition users can comment and rate the beautiful panoramas, and embed the code onto their site or blog. Similar panoramic sites that have been featured on our weekly faves include: GigaPan, and ViewAt.

Pixsta - The conventional way of searching for images involves typing in a few keywords and waiting for results. Pixsta takes a fresh approach to the challenge of image search and makes it visual - you see it, you click it. A great feature is the ability to search visual other sites such as Telegraph, Elle UK, Gala.de, InTouch and Fabulous. The only downside of the site is that at the moment their results are limited to European sites. Does this kind of visual search sound familiar, well it kinda reminds me of AllMyFaves. The future is visual, the future is here.

SomeTimesDaily - Sometimesdaily is an off-beat, interactive variety show exploring life’s themes through the inquisitive eyes of Amanda Congdon. I am not sure that even Amanda knows what her site is about but 2 things are for sure. 1. The intro to her videos is quite cool. 2. She is Hot. Amanda, if you are reading this blog, please clarify your statement to the world.

A Spam A Day - I always thought that spam is wrong, that spam is the lowest form of penetrating our privacy. However Ozi took all these spams we receive and turned into a wonderful thing, he turned into art. Ozi turns each day’s most outrageous spam-mail-subject into a cartoon. So when was the last time you flew her to orgasmic wonderland;-).

LovePixel - A pixel is the smallest piece of information in an image. Pixels are normally arranged in a regular 2-dimensional grid, and are often represented using dots or squares. Jason Huang, a designer and illustrator from Taiwan has created an amazing pixel city. This is a MUST SEE, it is much better than the horrible million dollar homepage.
