This may actually be the nicest place on the internet! I don’t want to give too much away about it… All I’ll say is that first, you need the sound on (or headphones in if you’re having a break at work); and second, make sure your internet is quick enough to play short Youtube videos.

I’ve just spent five minutes on it, and I think I may have stumbled upon one of the most sincerely sweet websites I’ve seen in a long, long time. Try out this amazingly comprehensive, personal video feed, stuffed with great videos just for you!

Frequency – There’s just so much interesting video content floating around the internet on any given moment, on any given day. And that means it’s really easy to miss a heck of a lot of good stuff! Stuff that gets posted on Facebook or Twitter by your friends or people you follow; stuff that gets posted on news websites (of which there are far too many to browse through in one go…); or just random, funny videos that get posted by random, funny people on Youtube.

And that’s where Frequency comes to the rescue. It’s basically the Google Reader of Video, but a lot more accessible! Or in other words, a real-time, social platform that brings you video content from a variety of different channels that you’re interested in. After registering for free, click the ‘guide’ button at the top of the page, and from there select the types of video that will appear in your personal feed; picking either the genre (business, sports, politics etc.) or ‘following’ specific sources Twitter-style (anything from videos your friends share on Facebook, to BBC News, to Apple videos, to the White House official feed!). Literally there’s something there for everyone; a plethora of content waiting to be funnelled to your starting page. We at All My Faves see Frequency as a really useful, and not-too-complicated way of getting the best video for you.

It’s video chat. It’s Facebook. And no it’s not the Skype-Facebook tie up that’s been hyped up for the past few months, only to turn out to be one of the biggest damp squibs since Barack Obama’s first Presidential term. Folks, this is Rounds, and it’s actually fun!

More than just a simple video call, which you can do on regular Skype or Facetime (if, unlike me, you’re lucky enough to own a new iPhone!), Rounds recognizes that when you’re on Facebook, you’re not just interested in simply talking. You’re probably also looking at Youtube videos; you’re playing a free online game; or you’re checking out what your friends have been up to recently (“stalking” for those of you unfamiliar with the Facebook lingo!).

And they’ve come up with a really lovely idea: to allow you to video chat to your friends, and at the same time, share a mini-window allowing you to co-browse all those things together. So you literally can play a game together with one of your friends, while video chatting, on the same screen, on Facebook! The Museum is a stylish, sci-fi style selection of videos “from the future”; narrated by a strange, computerized character that talks about objects that have apparently become obsolete with time and innovation. Arcade Fire’s Sprawl II – One of the songs from Arcade Fire’s amazing Grammy Award-winning album, The Suburbs, has now been turned into an interactive music video where us lucky viewers get to actually direct the content, using a webcam or mouse. The video below is the more traditional version, which you just watch, but click here for to get creative with a really great song!
