Frequency – There’s just so much interesting video content floating around the internet on any given moment, on any given day. And that means it’s really easy to miss a heck of a lot of good stuff! Stuff that gets posted on Facebook or Twitter by your friends or people you follow; stuff that gets posted on news websites (of which there are far too many to browse through in one go…); or just random, funny videos that get posted by random, funny people on Youtube.

And that’s where Frequency comes to the rescue. It’s basically the Google Reader of Video, but a lot more accessible! Or in other words, a real-time, social platform that brings you video content from a variety of different channels that you’re interested in. After registering for free, click the ‘guide’ button at the top of the page, and from there select the types of video that will appear in your personal feed; picking either the genre (business, sports, politics etc.) or ‘following’ specific sources Twitter-style (anything from videos your friends share on Facebook, to BBC News, to Apple videos, to the White House official feed!). Literally there’s something there for everyone; a plethora of content waiting to be funnelled to your starting page. We at All My Faves see Frequency as a really useful, and not-too-complicated way of getting the best video for you.

Rately appears to have solved this nagging issue. It allows you (when you install a free  addon a bit like the AllMyFaves Bookmarklet Tool to your web browser, and then click on it) to save an item you like, compare it against similar items, and then send this comparison to your friends on Facebook or Twitter. They can then compare pictures of those items side by side… and ‘rate up’ their favorite. And then know exactly what you should be spending your money on online!

It actually adds a really enjoyable, personal touch to online shopping that isn’t really available anywhere else. Of course you can just send a friend on Facebook a picture of something you’re thinking of buying to ask their opinion, but the process of doing that is long winded, and nowhere near as streamlined and fun as what Rately is offering. Picking up on Foursquare’s idea of “gamifying” life, by giving you rankings, badges and prizes when you check into places you like to visit, Onefeat takes this one step further, into the world of Photo Sharing. We all love sharing photos on sites like Facebook and Twitter. But this site and corresponding mobile app, turns taking and sharing photos into a game of challenges, levels and point scoring. If the Americans among you haven’t already noticed, I’ll let you know now. There’s an election coming up in 2012. A big one. The problem is, you’ve not got much of a choice when it comes to voting for your next President. It’s Democrat or Republican, Good vs. Evil (whichever way you look at it!). Now, to test the site, I decided that I wanted to take a trip to Tel Aviv in Israel and go partying. I looked up the city and was presented with around 100 friendly faces, all of whom were locals prepared to meet for a coffee, take me around their City that they love so much, or even host me on their couch or spare bed!
